Avira Antivirus error with Spybot Search and Destroy

Hello, guys!

I have recently started using Aviira Antivirus (with Spybot Search and Destroy as a secondary antivirus) and I have found the same error message for about four times now, saying:

"Error The application module C:Program FilesAviraAntivir Desktopccwkrlib.dll cannot be found or has been modified or destroyed. The AVWSC.EXE cannot be started. Please check your installation!"

After 10 minutes passed, it worked fine again.

Is there any solution to fix this problem? I have gone to the Avira Support Page and have searched about the same issue and they suggested to uninstall other antivirus programs but I really don’t understand why I have to do this.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Avira Antivirus error with Spybot Search and Destroy

The message: “Error The application module C:Program FilesAviraAntivir Desktopccwkrlib.dll cannot be found or has been modified or destroyed. The AVWSC.EXE cannot be started. Please check your installation” is actually due to a program that sends the error report when programs crash. You just have to disable this program however there is no opportunity to send a report about it.  Here’s what you need to do to disable the program that’s causing  the issue:

  • Go to Control Panel
  • Open “System”
  • Click “Advanced” tab
  • Then click “Error Report”
  • After that, check the “Disable Error Reporting” option
  • Then reboot your computer
  • If the error message is already gone, reactivate “Error Reporting”
  • Then try to scan your system again
