How to activate the AVG Internet security’s Email scanner? Why do I receive the “ AVG email scanner is not fully functional” message in spite of installing the entire package?
There have been quite a lot of cases where all components except the AVG email scanner have been activated. Ideally, there should be an ‘activate and properties’ button on the lower right of the control center panel. Clicking on this ‘activate’ button should change the email scanner to blue, from red, and the scanner should also say“ email scanner is fully functional.” If it says“ no plug-in is active" in spite of having a blue icon, it implies that plugins haven't been installed on the system, or the status of the plugin isn't disclosed. To verify, check under properties, the plug-in tab. Uncheck the “ignore plug -in status” box and click OK. Recheck the ‘activate’ button and the scanner must work. If the plugin is disabled, pick activate after right clicking the email scanner, to enable the plugins.
