Is Avast increase email timeout, I am facing such problem.

I have worked on your issue and i am a regular user of Avast Antivirus since 2 years. I didn't find any problem like timeout, link failure.

Your issue show that, This is a problem of internet connection and you always delete the "Temp files"  on daily bases.

You will follow the following steps to delete the Temporary files:

1. Press Windows key + R
2. Write down %temp% in boxand hit Enter
3. New folder named "temp"
4. Select all files and delete all

Repeat this procedure daily it increase your internet / Computer  speed.
