Is it possible to automatically install printers for users on Windows Server 2003 network based on location of user & printer?
Automatically install printers in Windows Server 2003
I think it is not possible. Even on local computers, automatic installation of drivers for a particular printer is not possible. You may install them manually and share them also manually. This is for security purposes and it is not automatically available. I have some experience that a printer will be automatically added on my network the printer shared across the network. Those printers are shared publicly without any restrictions and it is accessible to everyone. If this is the one you like, just share the printer to everyone and it is accessible by all clients connected within your network.
