Hi,

When I am installing the Autodesk Inventor Professional 2014, I got stuck up with an error message. I am doing this installation in my personal system so I think I have got all the privileges. The error is almost towards the end, why it is not checking this system privileges while starting? Please help me to find the solution. Thanks.

Hi Matthew,
The error is because the file are not saved in the proper extensions in the system.
To resolve this error follow the steps mentioned below:
1) Open the 'Add-in Manager' in the Inventor 2014 software
2) Click 'Show Hidden members' button in the application
3) Go to 'EDM Addins' and locate the 'mscoree.dll'
4) Uncheck the 'Load automatically' checkbox in the application
5) Restart the Inventor and check the 'EDM Addin' option
6) Uncheck the 'Load/Unload' option from the settings
7) Restart the software and the error will be resolved

It seems that there is a problem in your user account’s privilege that somewhat prevents the program or its service from starting up. Before installing the application make sure you are logged in as the administrator or you are using a user account that has administrative privileges. In case the program is partially installed because of the error, completely uninstall it from your machine and restart your computer.

Open Windows Explorer and go to the folder where you store the installer. Right-click on the installer then select Properties. Select Compatibility tab. Under Privilege Level, check “Run this program as an administrator” and then click OK. Run the installer afterwards and install Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2014. See image.

Should you encounter another problem, check again the program’s specifications. Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2014 supports x86 and x64 Windows 7 [Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise], and x64 Windows 8 [Professional or Enterprise]. Your graphics adapter should also have at least 256 MB video RAM and higher. Besides the video card’s video RAM, you should also check what version of OpenGL it supports. Your video card should support OpenGL 2.0, OpenGL 3.0, or higher.
