Hello,

I am trying to install Autodesk Inventor 2012 but it gives me the following pop up message during the installation process. Some unknown file is missing according to the given error. I reinstalled the program but the problem remains. Can I fix it? Help me to get it out.

Thanks for any assistance.

Autodesk Inventor 2012 error: file missing

Good day. The specified error might be caused by a dll error. To fix that issue, we have to replace the dll with the problem with a new one. To have this done, we have to download the new dll. You can download that dll here. At the bottom of the page you can see a button that says download zip file, click that button and then the file will be downloaded.

Once the file has been downloaded, extract the file and you can have the dll that we wanted to have. After that, locate the folder //windeploy.ce.gatech.edu/programs/AutoDesk/2012/Inventor_64/Setup/ on your machine and then paste the dll that we have downloaded. If the machine prompts that there is the same copy of file on the folder, choose to replace.

After doing that, continue with your installation.
