Autodesk AutoCAD cannot open projects

Hello experts,

I have this error when I want to open some projects in AutoCAD and it seems like I have lost my project for all. Can anyone help me please to fix this error ? Is there a problem with AutoCAD or with my PC ?

I don’t think you should be alarmed especially if your files are stored in the hard drive and have not been modified. It’s pretty obvious there is something wrong with your program. You should try reinstalling it. Click Start, Control Panel then Add or Remove Programs. Select AutoCAD from the list and click Remove to uninstall the program.

Follow the instructions in removing the program. After uninstalling it, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools then select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C then click OK. Check Setup Log Files and “Temporary files” and click OK. Wait until it is finished then restart the computer. Install AutoCAD back and then try it again.

You should be able to open your files again after this. If the problem continues, install or upgrade AutoCAD to a much higher version in case you cannot install the latest version.
