Hi,

I just installed Audodesk 4ds Max 2008 full version on my Windows XP SP2 Operating System. The error shows that the license has expired. How can I download this software from the internet without showing such annoying error messages. Please provide suggestion to fix this error as soon as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is a hotfix available at their site. I suggest using this keyword “Hotfix – Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 – Activation Hotfix”.

After installing the hotfix file (.msp file extension), launch the installer by double clicking. Click next and finish. Make sure you right click the hotfix file, select run as administrator.

Hi Paul,
The error is because the hotfix is not installed for Autodesk software.
To resolve this error follow the steps mentioned below:
1) Download the hotfix from the Autodesk official website
2) From the website select the correct version and language to be downloaded
3) Download the 3ds max 2008 software from Autodesk legal website
4) Start the installation wizard for 3ds max 2008 by click 'Install Products' button
5) Click 'Next' button, Select 'I accept' radio button on the license agreement page
6) On the 'Review Configure Install' page, click 'Install' button
7) After the components are installed, Click 'Finish' button to complete the process
8) Apply the hotfix for the Autodesk 2008
9) Restart the system and the problem will be solved

It’s a bit odd but you can actually see this message popping up on the first run of Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 after you install it. This error is an activation problem and you may encounter it when you install and activate Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 after December 31, 2008. So, if you install the program beyond this date you will surely be greeted with this error message.

To fix the problem, download Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 Activation Hotfix. Use the supplied password to unpack. The download contains two versions of the hotfix: one for the 32-bit version and the other for 64-bit version. Run the hotfix appropriate for your version. After running the hotfix, you should be able to start Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 without receiving that error again.

You will also now be able to use the authorization wizard to activate the product normally.
