Hello! I need help please.

I have a client who needs to run WRKDOMSVR command in the command line and verify if the DPARs or the Domino Servers are actively running or not.

The issue is, he successfully run the command but unable to get the status of the Domino Servers.

The status of the command is UNKNOWN but when I verify it with my own account, I can see that it is already started.

What do I need to do so he can have access with the WRKDOMSVR command?

Are you on the same network as the client?

If you are then you can use the remote desktop connection to give client a one on one support, for he may be missing out on some procedures when running the command from the command line.

The procedure for remote desktop connection is as illustrated below:

  • On your computer, you will go the Start menu, and then All Programs, and then point to Accessories,.
  • Next click on Communications, and then choose Remote Desktop Connection.
  • In Computer option, you will need to type a computer name or Internet Protocol (IP) address, and then you will click on Connect. The computer that you are connecting to should have remote desktop connection enabled on it, and therefore you will need to tell the client to enable that service on their computer.
  • You will then navigate to the Log On to Windows dialog box, and there you will need to type your user name, the password, and the domain that you are using.
  • Click OK when you are done.
