I am receiving the following errors during the system startup: “This application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail." "Error loading C:PROGRA~1ThinkPadUTLIT~1PWMTR32V.DLL” I don’t understand what this means and how to resolve it. I have verified the event log but didn’t help.

What do I do?

To fix the problem, download and install one of the following Microsoft Visual C++ update according to your platform architecture:

For Windows 8, you should update to Windows 8.1 from the Windows Store.
