Appleā€™s cloud computing system does not recognize devices

Ever since I started using Appleā€™s new operating system, I have had problems with updating my directory and calendars from my laptop to my Apple devices.

Right now my laptop will not recognize the devices and I prefer not to use the cloud computing system, is there a better and improved version coming up soon or should I just go back to using another manufacturer? I have been a Mac user for a long time now because it was easy to use, but with new developments, it seems like things are just being made difficult.

Please help me and suggest anything that you think might help. Thank you!

Hi Eric,

Can you advise if you are getting errors when you try to update your directory and calendars? If you are using or have updated to the new iOS, you may need to turn off then turn on iCLoud for you to be able to add contacts and entries on your calendar and directory.

If your device is not being seen and recognize by the computer, have you tried to check if other devices are being recognized? Usually, doing a hard reset on the phone works. To do the hard reset, you just need to press the power button and home key at the same time.
