Hello,

An error message encountered while working with Aliases because I am trying to keep larger media files into my external hard drive using the Mac Operating system.

Is anyone aware from this error?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Apple TV Fooler

Can’t make alias “Macintosh HD:Users:justinrudge:Desktop:355315:” into type reference.

You simply cannot create an alias on your hard drive. An alias is created so that you can launch a file on convenient place like your desktop. It is very much like a shortcut file that you use to launch files on Microsoft products. My suggestion is to duplicate the file instead on your hard disk by copying it and then saving it on your hard disk. It's the same thing that you want to do anyway.

Hello,

You just can't make alias this way, it will always show an error message. For an easy way use TUNESPAN. A software that easily allows you to transfer files or save your files to an external HDD. Its an easy to use software but you have to pay for it. It will solve your issues and you can easily manage your content on external HDD.

Hope this helps
