Hi! I want to know a way to keep safe the data stored in Amazon EC2 storage beyond its lifetime. That is because I think, these EC2 instances are ephemeral and my data could be wiped out once the instance is shut down. Thank you!
Anyone knows how to keep safe the data stored I Amazon EC2?
You can use the Amazon’s elastic compute cloud for as long as you are within the time that you have paid for. You will be needed to pay by the hour that you will be using the active servers, and it is you who is in charge of creating, launching and terminating the server instances and therefore the amount to be paid will be determined by the usage.
The instances are short-lived, but I am not so sure if the data will be wiped out after the instance is shut down or may be it is stored so that you can retrieve next time you launch and execute another instance.
