Google introduced Google Public DNS to speed up your internet speed. You can also use Open DNS. These are very good DNS to optimize your internet speed.Â
If you do not want to download any software then you can use "Namebench". It is a portable application and you don't need to install any software.It runs a benchmark test using the data from your web browsers. Just make sure you close all the applications that use the internet so that you get precise results. The application looks like this:
Click on the Start benchmark button and wait for it to complete. It takes around 15 minutes to complete.
