Antivirus is up-to-date but not protecting system.

I have Symantec antivirus installed in my computer and I set it to up-to-date. But it always shows a message that "Symantec Endpoint Protection Antivirus and Anti spyware protection definitions are out of date". And it shows a stop icon. I am facing various viruses as i have connected to LAN and every computer has different type of viruses.

So I am fading up of these viruses that slows down my system's work. I want a better solution for it please.

I will personally suggest you not to use Symantec antivirus. I had also used it for a short time but it has not performed well. It slows also quite heavy which down the system. During my use I also noticed that it is not protecting me well against viruses so I just uninstalled it.

I will suggest you to use MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS. It is a great antivirus I have ever seen. It is not consuming much of system resources and provides good protection against the viruses. I have been using it for almost one year and it is performing very well. It is free to use if you have a genuine Microsoft windows.

Symantec is good but it takes a lot system process and services and lots of system memory which literally slows your PC down to a great extent . I stopped using Symantec security after getting my memory full (RAM).
I suggest you uninstall the Symantec and start using Kaspersky internet security 2012.

I personally recommend using that. It literally caught every virus , each one of them which my other anti virus left behind (I used Avira also before).

Better you try just the trial version and if it catches viruses you buy it.

You can download Kaspersky 2012 from the following URL:

Hope that helps.
