Annoying noise by CPU during bootup

During start up, there is really a loud and annoying noise created something inside the CPU. It will take almost 15-30 minutes before the sound subsides. How will I fix it? Can I fix it manually or I need a computer technician? Is it a major problem and would it cost highly to fix?

Hi,

First, clean the fan blades off real well. If you have a heatsink with the fan then clean the heat sink off as well. You can even use a bit of your oil and some q-tips for cleaning if needed. Then, take the small circle, it usually has a name on it, but its in the middle of the fan. Peel one edge up carefully and put a very small amount of oil in where you lifted the label up. Now add some graphite powder in the same place where you put the oil, add as much or a bit more of the graphite powder than the oil. Clean off excess oil and graphite and push the label back where it was. You may need a very small amount of duct tape to hold the label in position and to prevent leakage. This is important if the fan is going to "sit up" as opposed to lying flat.

You can reduce the noise perhaps with SpeedFan 4.42 by changing fan speed http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Hello,

My friend had the problem like you and I had solved this problem using some simple steps. So, I mentioned here these few steps to turn off the annoying CPU beep sounds. You just need to go through one by one steps. At first you have to click 'Start' Menu and go to 'Run'. Now you need to write 'Regedit' and press the 'Enter' key. Here you will navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>> Control Panel>> Sound. There are three different values on the right side such as 'Default', 'Beep', and 'Extended Sounds'. Now you need to double click on 'Beep' option. And here you set the value 'NO'.

I hope you have done this. So restart your computer and you will see that the problem has been solved.

Good Luck!
