Which Android version will take over lollipop although it may take time but what kind of new devastating features will be available on the next version of the android. Will Samsung s7 get the android version 6.0? Will it be more User friendly OS among other versions of OS?
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow is not an overhaul of the Android mobile operating system. It is more of a refinement or enhancement and an expansion of the main features of the Android 5.0 Lollipop. On May 28, 2015, Android Marshmallow was first announced at Google I/O when it was released as the Android M developer preview. On August 17, 2015, Marshmallow was officially named but before that a number of updates to the preview came out.
On September 29, 2015, Google finally announced the new Android Marshmallow mobile operating system together with the 2015 Nexus devices. The devices that will have the first taste of the new Android Marshmallow are the brand new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. Android Marshmallow is visually alike with the previous Android Lollipop. The lock screen in Android Marshmallow is almost identical to the Lollipop version.
It has the same expandable notifications and application shortcuts. In Lollipop, the shortcuts for the camera and dialer are located in the bottom corners. In Marshmallow, the shortcut for the dialer has been replaced with Google’s voice search. The voice search also received a new look. You will now see 4 colored dots that float which will change into a waveform and will then rotate as it picks up your voice request and processed.
Aside from that, apps can also be started directly from the lock screen by simply using your voice.
