I would like to inquire whether there are any other features which I can add to outlook to allow reminders get more alternatives. The snooze isn’t just adequate and its appearance cannot be changed or made impossible. Most people, including me would not prefer being queried though being reminded for events like pending meetings is just alright.

Hi,
In outlook, you can add a appointment and you can add a reminder for that by following below steps.
Go to the Calendar > New Appointment > Give the subject > Give the Location > Give the Appointment day, Start time, End time > click Save and Close.
Reminder will automatically activated. When reminder is running, you can give Snooze time by clicking below snooze list and click Snooze button. You can add reminder and change Snooze time using this steps.
