Needed a better option for contact management software than Access. That can do lots of mail merges and can also perform mass emails. Also, can enable us to make our own fields to keep track of contacts.

Alternative Open Source Contact Management Software For Access

You can choose any of the free email marketing software, like 1and1 mail,  Group Mail and Send Blaster. They all are equally good at the job of contact management. However, 1and1 Mail allows one to import-export contacts details and customize the fields in the address book for mass emailing. It’s interface is easy as well.
