All devices do not work back after reboot

Hi all,

I have asked a technician to boot my computer because I had a problem with my previous OS (XP1). He was able to finish everything, except all my devices did not work after the boot. He found it hard to get my Internet connection back (due to ethernet issues, as it did not plug and play ), my video accelerator was lost, thankfully he found these things. However, now, I am still having problems with audio driver, the plug and play doesn't work here as well so up to now, I still have no sounds coming from my PC. Why do you think most of those driver that worked before in my old OS, did not work with my new one (XP3)? Where can I find my audio driver? I tried downloading almost everything from AC97 to other ones but I still can't find one that will fit my sound card.

Its because the XP3 update operating system is not a very good operating system. It has many issues regarding installation of drivers and also other software. I think you downgrade it, at least up to Windows XP SP2. It is more stable to use and it will surely install all of your drivers. I promise you, this answer won't disappoint you. I already experienced it in the company that I'm currently working. I updated a PC to SP3 and then all of the drivers won't install except for the chip set. I have to reformat it again all over then I install the drivers first before updating and it work perfectly for me.
