I install Microsoft Office in my system. Now I am using MS Word. I write 2 lines in MS Word and then try to insert some data between second line but when I try to insert some text in second line then if I insert some text next will be remove automatically.

All data is overwritten. I want when I write some text in second line then I can insert text in second line but next data don’t overwrite.

Do you know its solution? Please share with me.

All data is overwritten in Microsoft Word

Hi!

It is a very common problem faced by many users while working with MS Word. It is due to the overtype option available in previous versions. It is a useful function to change the text without changing its total no of words.

The newly added words are added in file by deleting the previous words. But as and when we want new words to be added by retaining the previous work we have to turn this option off.

You can do this by simply clicking the OVR option from the status bar at the bottom of the page or in the tools menu select option and select overtype option to turn off.

Hope it helps.

To avoid this simply press 'Insert' from the keyboard you are using and then you continue typing without rewriting the next data.

Thanks.
