Hello guys!

I had this issue with the alcohol software. When I click the Alcohol icon, this error message pops out: Cannot load the Alcohol virtual CD-ROM driver! You will need to re-install Alcohol 120% to correct this problem. So, I followed the message and uninstalled the program. Then I installed it again but now I get another error message saying “ERROR 1606. Could not access network location"::Documents and Settings All User Desktop". I noticed the problem begin to occur after I upgraded my windows to windows XP Pro. Could this problem be related to my upgrade? I need your help.

The up gradation of the system keeps some older files replaced by the newer ones. The newer files have some parameters, some values changed.

These parameters are kept in such a way that it supports the entire older version as it works for the newer version. Keeping this fact in mind, the problem must not have occurred due to this reason.

However on up gradation, the setup must have updated/ replaced some files of alcohol and replaced with newer ones or may have deleted it. The deleted files are not recoverable. As such you need to reinstall alcohol for your personal use.

Make AUTOMATIC UPDATES MANUAL TO AVOID SUCH PROBLEMS WITH YOUR SYSTEM.

Thanks.
