I was using Idea (India) as the service provider on my Moto-Gen 2, it was not working but then I switched to Vodafone and it is working perfectly fine. It is not the area or range problem because my friends are using it on their phones. How to resolve this confusion?

I don’t see the reason why your previous cellular service provider doesn’t work on your phone. Your Motorola Moto G mobile phone operates on 2G and 3G networks and I’m sure Idea Cellular supports these network types. There is no configuration needed for the phone to connect to the network.

The usual problem you might encounter is the internet configuration of the phone which is usually provided by the network or the cellular service provider. There are times, especially on earlier phone models, setting up the internet is hard. There are also times the cellular service provider doesn’t support a handset for the internet settings.

This normally happens on rare phone models especially if the brand carrier is very new and the handset’s settings are configured very differently. Anyway, you shouldn’t have any problem configuring the internet configuration of your Motorola Moto G handset. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset, Quad Core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor, and Adreno 305 GPU. It already supports HTML5 for internet browsing.
