Dear Eathon Mandel,

I see you are deciding if it’s worth buying this tablet. Just by looking at its specifications, I can say at first glance that it’s definitely worth the buy considering it’s on sale on their website:

https://www.ecwid.com/store/assassinimports/Ainol-Novo-7-Elf-2-Dual-Core-1-5GHz-7-Inch-Android-Tablet-16GB-p12709251

Now to get into deeper details:

  • the OS is android 4.0.3 (Ice-cream Sandwich) so it’s the latest until Jelly Bean comes out (android 4.1)
  • the processor is a 1.5Ghz dual-core, so definitely a plus there, being able to process 1080p video playback
  • regarding the video processor: there are 4 cores running on the tablet making it a power horse
  • 1 GB of RAM is more than enough for many users
  • the storage is only limited to 8 GB, so you won’t be able to hold many 1080p videos without running out of memory. That’s it unless you buy an auxiliary memory Support TF card (up to 32 GB)
  • the screen resolution is a decent 1024×600 – it’s still good, but other 7 inch tablets have 1280×800
  • WIFI 802.1 b/g/n covers all the standards available to this date, reaching high speeds with the “n” standard

On the downside:

  • there’s no GPS module, you won’t be able to use it for navigation
  • there’s no Bluetooth module, you won’t be able to pair it to different devices to share media
  • and most important of all there’s no 3G module incorporated. There is, however, the possibility to buy an auxiliary dongle from them which can grant you access to 3G data networks. If you don’t consider this you are stuck using the WIFI only to connect to the web.

Those are the most important aspects you need to consider before buying. I hope I’ve made myself helpful.

Hello Eath,

In Recent Days Tablets Have Become Very Popular. They Are Bigger Than Smartphones And Smaller Than Laptops. So, If You Are Looking Forward To Buy A Tablet Then I Would Say That You Should Go For It. Now Lets Get To The Point. I Must Say That Ainol Novo 7 Elf II is A Great Tablet.

It's Advantages are:

1. Ainol Is The Most Popular Among Chinese Electronic Device Manufacturers. It Has A Good Reputation In The Market.
2. It Has Got Dual Core Processor.
3. It Has HD IPS Screen.
4. It's Cheap.
5. It is Slim And Has A Camera Too.

Disadvantages:

1. It Doesn't Have Bluetooth, GPS.
2. There Is No built-in 3g version. But you can use some of the 3g dongle.
3. Comparatively Small Battery.

But, If You Can Raise Your Budget A Little Than You Can Think About The Google Nexus 7 Or Samsung Tab 2.

Dear User,

This tablet is a very good one. And it is android based. Below is the quick overview of the tablet

  • CPU – Amlogic8725-M6-Cortex-A9 Dual Core(1.5hz)
  • GPU – Dual Core Mail 400*2
  • Ram= DDR3 1G
  • Storage – 8gb
  • Screen – 7 inch capacitive touch screen, 1024*600 High resolution LCD screen
  • Visible Angle – 150*

Al so this supports flash and with, an in built camera too.

Personally I would go for it because the price is worth the product

Thank you.

The screen does look good at 100% brightness. Being 1028×760, but the viewing angles are where the device show its weakness. Straight on the viewing it seems to be the best non IPS screen I have seen on a 7 inch with colors really popping. But game playing is very enjoyable with the dual core being obviously an advancement. As well as the movie playback using the native video player is very good.
