Hi,

Is there any special differences between AGP and PCI graphic cards? If so which one is the best in the performance?

AGP and PCI graphic cards…

The hugest difference between PCI and AGP graphic cards is; by using AGP cards, the system memory can be accessed by them to help with messy and complex operations like texture mapping.

However on the other side PCI cards can only access the memory present on the actual card.

PCI cards share bandwidth with other devices however AGP cards do not.

Recent tests have proved that performance of AGP & PCI cards is still though approximately the same but the place where AGP performs really good is when it comes to high-resolution tests & where direct access to system memory is required.

In my opinion, AGP Cards is the better option to go with.
