How can I launch a protection against harmful threats such as viruses, spyware and protect my email from getting infected? What are some trusted antivirus that you can recommend?
I will give you possible solutions for your problem:
1. Please update your antivirus and have a full system scan (You must have a Good and trusted antivirus I recommend using kaspersky internet security and Norton internet security).
2. Have a registry cleaner and fixer (I will give you a link on the program that I am using http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download). Please download and install the program and Run it. Click on the registry and scan for issues and it will fix it.
3. And update the OS you are using they have updates for your protection on spywares, viruses and mail protection.
To protect your computer must need an anti-virus, anti-malware & anti-spyware software for full fledge protection. There is a variety of software available in Internet, e. g. NOD32, Avira Anti-Virus, Bit Defender, Total Anti-Virus, Reg Cure etc. But my choice for full protection of a computer is Microsoft Security Essentials.
Because it provides protection against virus, malware, spywares, email security, firewall security. It is one of top best security tool to be used now a days. It is free to download from Microsoft site and provides free updates life time, the only requirement for this is you must have genuine/registered windows.
In case, you don’t have registered Window, then you can also register it from Microsoft website after paying them. Other solution is to download some tools to register windows by cheating Microsoft (never recommended).
In case your computer is infected with a virus, sending an email will not automatically make your email message infected because it is only pure text. Unless you attach a file that is infected then that’s the only time that your email can be considered infected. There are many ways to protect your computer from getting infected with a virus.
First of all, make it a habit to scan every media that you insert on your computer. For example, before copying a file or files from a USB flash drive coming from a friend or co-employee, make sure to scan the USB flash drive first after inserting it on your computer. When going online and browsing different websites on the internet be cautious when downloading different files.
If you need to download a file from a website, don’t forget to scan the file first with your antivirus once it has been completely downloaded. Never open a file you downloaded from a website if you haven’t scanned it first with your antivirus. The most important part of protecting your computer from getting infected is making your antivirus up-to-date all the time.
Update your antivirus regularly so that it can recognize and detect the latest threats that might enter your system.
