Hi everyone,
This is my problem: when I try to run After Effects CS5 on my Mac the following message appears on the screen: “After Effects warning: Unknow exception.”
It’s impossible to get rid of and when I try with OK I get nowhere, the application just won’t start up at all.
If someone can tell me what have I done to get into this mess please post here.

The problem is something with the font or pref.
Before close your after effect.
And try to enter too:
….. / Library / Preferences / Adobe / After Effects / 9.0
And delete all what's inside of this folder.
And now run your program. And should work well.
Ps: if not work try to reinstall your software. And make again all these steps.

First try reinstalling the cs5 again. If that does not work then go the library directory and delete everything inside “Library/ Preferences/ Adobe / After Effects” folder. Should that fail, use the repair “utility” from the utility option to repair the computer “permissions” and repair the disk. After all three steps the problem should be fixed. If not then best contact adobe support with your PC information mentioned.
