Yes dear friend it is a common problem which occurs most of the time and its solution is not easy one because it depends on the condition of your PC and your web cam. But i will tell you a solution and you have to follow it and i hope it will help you to solve your problem.

  1. First you have to install an antivirus in your computer and then scan that software of web cam which you installed in your PC may be there is a virus if there is then delete it and then restart the cam.
  2. Other way is that you can check your cam driver either it installed fully or correctly or not if not then remove it and again install it properly.
  3. Another way is that you can go to the properties of your webcam driver and then start troubleshooting from there and then that trouble shooting will help you to solve your problem and also give you other faults of your PC as well which create a hindrance in working of your web cam.

THANKS.

Its look like your VGA card does not contain too much memory that is what i think however you can check it your self and then you can decide your self. It must be more then 128 Mb if you need to run your webcam smoothly. Other wise it may not work properly the noise coming from your computer is also for this reason the CPU gets hot and it starts the procedure of cooling and it effects your system also.

You can check you VGA memory by doing these steps. First go to START and then to RUN and type dxdiag a new window will appear in front of you now your can select display from the tabs given above and check the total memory available for your VGA card. You can arrange some VGA card it there is not some built in memory for your Laptop.

And i am sure that it will help you a lot to under stand the problem and then you can also solve it easily.
