In my laptop (Compaq CQ43-101TU) Aero Effects are not working which enables Transparent TASK BAR, & Transparent Start Menu. I am using Intel HD Graphics Driver. Can anyone tell me a right driver to choose for best graphics for my laptop?

Hi,
 
Hope this solves your problem.
 
- Click start, Control Panel / Device Manager
- Expand the Display Adapers. 
 
If you see any  Mirror Driver  listed, right click and select Uninstall.
 
- Click Exit and restart laptop
 
Test the Aero options if it works.
 
If not, 
 
- Right click on you Taskbar, Properties
- In the Taskbar Tab, at the bottom ther's an option
- Use Aero peek to preview the desktop
 
Make sure that you have to check that if it works. If not, try it again.

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps which you can perform to bring back the Aero effects:

>>Click ‘start’ then type ‘aero’ in the search box

>>Click on ‘find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects.

>>You’ll get a new wizard window. Click ‘advanced’ to fix the problem automatically. Then click ‘next’.

This will fix the issue with Aero on your computer.

Hello Montano,

You can try both the ways told until now. But I am going to solve it another way. It is most easy way I got. You can download a Microsoft tool from official site called “fix it”. The link for this kind problem is:

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/aero_effects_not_working/en

You can run this online or have to download it. If you run this tool it would be solved in few minutes.

If you have time in your hand, just use the installation CD and repair the window.  This will help you a lot.

Hello Rexwald,

You have not provided the complete information about your system. Which windows you are using? This was important telling your operating system you are using because Aero may not automatically enables in some operating systems. You have to do it manually. There are couple of ways to solve your issue. The visuals are not displayed due to the following reasons:

1- The video card you are using does not support the settings required by aero. The memory is too low to support the effects aero produces. Please check the compatibility of your video card.

2- Make sure that your desktop themes, services are already disabled to display the effects of your Aero program.

3- Make sure you have enough power to display the effects on your laptop, recharge your battery or connect it with the  power line.

This may solve your problems with Aero effects not displayed.
