Advanced Delivery Options is not showing delivery choice in Outlook

Hi,

 

After downloading to Outlook, I would like to leave duplicates of my messages on my pop3 email server. Though, as I go to "Account Settings" -> "More Settings" -> "Advanced", the delivery choices are not there. I browsed the Microsoft website for a new location; however they point out that those are the current location for the said settings. Anyone here has ideas?

Hi,

There is no way you can stop ms outlook from downloading emails that are on the server, until and unless the server is changed to behave like that. One example is Gmail. In Gmail you have option to guide your email client not fetch emails from scratch as all other emails are always there and every time you connect to your email it should download all from one. But it doesn't do that. Alternatively what we can do is create a rule in ms outlook that if this email is already there move it deleted folder or somewhere you want. And easier is the use of simple, free duplicate remover. You can download Outlook Duplicate Remover for this purpose.
