After using and close Photoshop CS 5 portable I am unable to open Adobe Reader X files. It will open a split second and disappear. I can only open the Adobe reader X files after I did a system restore to an earlier date. Is there a solution to this problem. I am running Windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

Thank you for the help.

Hi, Good day!

The problem with this issue is the data on adobe's registry is either corrupted or conflict between adobe's applications. Sometimes system restore creates problem to some registry of some software in the computer. It's like people having jet lag or mental block when your try to recover something on your brain or trying to remember something, sometimes you’re out of your mind. Computer sometimes experience that.

So try to delete all files and registry of adobe and try to reinstall all adobe's software you’re using.

I hope this helps.

Hi Yellowcat!

Adobe reader X crashes after using Photoshop CS5 portable because it can’t carry anymore the memory of two applications which means it is not compatible with each other. It will suddenly crush or bugs, so you need to have the latest version of adobe and Photoshop CS6 to complete performance.  You can download this application in this site https://www.cnet.com/news/adobe-photoshop-cs5-12-0-1-update-fixes-crashes-and-performance-bugs/.

Thank You!

To make it clear, there are no Photoshop Creative Suite Portable programs published or supported by Adobe. If you are using a portable version of Photoshop CS5, that version didn’t come officially from Adobe and probably just created out of the Photoshop CS5 installation DVD. There are methods that will allow you to create portable apps but their efficiencies are not guaranteed.

If Adobe Reader X doesn’t seem to work whenever you use Photoshop CS5 then there is something wrong with how Photoshop CS5 portable was made portable. I know portable apps don’t require installation and you just run it out of the box.

If that’s always the problem where Adobe Reader X becomes unusable after using Photoshop CS5 portable and you need to perform a system restore just to make Adobe Reader X usable again, try doing a clean install of Adobe Reader X after running Photoshop CS5 portable. Do it like this, run Photoshop CS5 portable and then close it afterwards.

Next, open a file with Adobe Reader X and verify that it cannot open any file. After this, download Revo Uninstaller Freeware. Use the supplied password to unpack then run the installer to install Revo Uninstaller. Once installed, run Revo Uninstaller then uninstall Adobe Reader X from the panel.

Follow the instructions to uninstall the program completely, without leaving any leftover files not even a single registry entry in the Windows registry. Next, go to CCleaner Free Download then download and install CCleaner Free. Once installed, run CCleaner and clean your system. Restart your computer afterwards. After booting, install Adobe Reader X back then see if it is working.

If you want to register CCleaner, download CCleaner Registration Codes. Use the supplied password to unpack. Open “license-keys_readme.txt” with Notepad then follow the instructions.
