Adobe Premiere Pro has Encountered an Error on Mac OS X 10.6

I installed Adobe Premiere on one of my MAC OS X 10.6 machine.

After the installation when I try to open it, I get the following error message:

Premiere Pro has encountered an error. (/Scully64/shared/adobe/MediaCore/VideoFrame/ Make/Mac/../../Src/VideoFrameFactory.cpp-79)

I have tried a complete uninstall and a reinstall on the machine but after a reboot, it still comes up with the same error message.

What can I do to fix this error message?

Hi ThomasMiller,

Before you run that some kind of program did you check in your system if your application was compatible with your system? Because it seems that application that you want to run was not compatible in your system. That’s the error was occurred while running that kind of application in your system.

So I suggest recheck your system and your application if they are compatible with each other. Or you can try rebooting your program then try rerun the application in your system. If that error occurred again will I suggest that you have to contact your administrative support for further information about your problem in your system?

That’s the only way you can resolve your problem.

Thanks,

I would suggest you try to update the Premier pro version from 5.0.2 or 5.0.3 to newer ones.

The problem is experienced when the software is installed on Mac systems with ATI cards but is not experienced on Mac or windows with Nvidia cards. Making this more a software bug which is already addressed and hence doesn't need a work around, if you can update.
