Adobe Photoshop CS5 is not running after restart

I am using a primary pc which runs on 64-bit Windows 7. But I failed to run the installed 64-bit (x64) version of Adobe Photoshop CS5 on it. It often does not run accurately or sometimes it even failed to be  started.

It also happened the same in Vista or XP OS that I use in my office. In all those pcs it often showed the hereby attached error message saying

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).” Click OK to close the application.

How to solve this?

Any idea, please?

It is important to know the source where you get Adobe Photoshop CS5 because it may be damaged or corrupted. If you are running it from a CD, try to use another installer disk and see if you will still have the same issue. You may also try to go to your Command Prompt. Just click Start and then type CMD to start it. And then type, chkdsk C: /R and press the enter key. This is to fix any system errors you got in your machine.

Lastly, the error you received usually occurs in a 64-bit OS when the Microsoft C++ Redistributable Package is not configured correctly. Re-download it from Microsoft website and install it to your computer. Reboot and see if it will work.
