Adobe CS4 AMT Subsystem Failure in Windows 7

Hi,

I downloaded Adobe CS4 product install from adobe website and installed it on my windows 7 computer. The install completed ok with no error and showed a success screen at the end. I exited from that screen and tried to open the newly installed Dreamweaver program from the program files menu and it gave me an error like “This product has encountered a problem which requires that you restart your computer before it can be launched”. I am not sure what this error means. Can somebody please help me understand this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AMT Subsystem Failure – This product has encountered a problem which requires that you restart your computer before it can be launched – If you continue to see this message after restarting your computer, please contact either your IT administrator or Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen – Error: 148:3 – http://www.adobe.com/support/

Hello Mauricio,

It looks like this is an error with the licensing of the software. You can try several ways to fix this.

1. Download Adobe Licensing Service Update. From the zip file, run/double-click LicenseRecover.exe. Then follow the instructions carefully.

2. Go to “C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication Data”. Rename the folder “FLEXnet” with “FLEXnetold”. Then start your product.

3. Uninstall the software. Use Wise Program Uninstaller. This will completely remove all left files and registries. Then install your product again.
