Adobe Application Manager failing installing the updates

Check again if the failed update really damaged the application. If Adobe Application Manager is open, close it and then start Adobe Photoshop Elements since this is the application you wished to update. Check if the program starts normally and successfully. Usually, when installing an update and it fails, the original installation of the program is untouched. The program can still be opened without a problem even after a failed update.

But in your case, if Adobe Photoshop Elements can no longer start because of the failed update, simply reinstall the application and it will be back to normal. Uninstall Adobe Photoshop Elements then click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and then click OK. Check “Temporary files” then click OK. Restart your computer when it is finished and then install Adobe Photoshop Elements back.

If you wish to update the program, you can do it from within the program instead of using Adobe Application Manager to avoid any problem such as this. To update, start Adobe Photoshop Elements then click Help and then Updates. See image.
