Hello everyone,

I am creating a compelling motion graphics and it keeps getting me this error: “After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! {Invalid index in named group}”. Do I have to delete something like the preference file or set the memory and caching preferences? And also it doesn’t allow me to save my current work.

After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! {invalid index in named group}

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Diagnose the problem properly. Remember if you've captured your FCP in 29.97 video or if you removed the 3:2 pulldown using Cinema Tools. How did you capture the video using your camera? All these considerations should be taken because settings need to be revised to prevent these errors. Sometimes time codes are set into off mode and you have to check it too. Another thing that you can do to actually go around this problem is to delete your FCP preferences or whatever preferences you have and create a new one.

 If you are using Mac, just press Cmd+Alt+Shift during launch and Ctl+Alt+Shift for Windows.
