I lost a big project because of these two errors. They appeared suddenly and I’m lost. Is there a chance to recover my unsaved project ? How can I do this ? Please tell me how can this type of error be prevented in the future ?

Adobe after effects error launching the program after the updates of Windows
If you are importing a WMV file to Adobe After Effects then there should be no problem because this file type is fully supported but under Microsoft Windows only. You cannot import a WMV file if you are using Mac OS X. You can use a WMV file either for import or export purposes.
Since you are importing a WMV file, first verify that it is a valid Windows media file because sometimes a media file can get renamed and might have a different extension name and this is where the problem starts. If you have no way of verifying the originality of the format, just convert the file to WMV also.
When you convert the file, this assures you that it is now in the right format. To convert the file, download and install ImTOO MPEG Encoder. It supports Windows XP Service Pack 2 or higher, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Microsoft Windows 8 and later not supported. After converting the file to the legit WMV format, try importing it again in Adobe After Effects and see if it works.
