Hi Dennis,

May I ask which particular version of After Effects are you using? Try to update it to the latest version. Just click Help and select Updates. There have been some updates and fixes for bugs and crashes. And also, the error message shows your log before the message appears. Try to remember any changes that you previously made. Revert it back and see if it will work. If it doesn't work, remove your AE and then re-download and re-install it back.

Hello Dennis,

You After Effects program may be crashing due to a number of reasons that you will need to check:

  • Check the version of After Effects that you are using. If you are using After Effects CS5 then you will need to have the 10.0.2.4 update.
  • Check if you have installed the most recent After Effects updates. If you haven't you will need to do that for you may be running the outdated version of the program.
  • Check the operating system specs. Is it  Windows 7 64 bit SP? For After Effects runs well on that platform.
  • Check your computer hardware. Make sure there is enough free storage and the RAM capacity is suitable for running After Effects.

Regards,

Carl
