I have a HP Touchsmart that I think runs really slow. Is it possible to upgrade the RAM on this machine? Can you use regular memory like a PC or is there ones just for laptops? I would like to speed it up as fast as my PC. Is this possible on a laptop like this?

There are sizes that is compatible or will fit into your memory compartment. You can’t just buy or use any memory. Try to open your laptop, most of the time memory in laptops are in the same compartment with hard disk drives (HDD). Personal Computer (PC) do have bigger slots for memory. In laptops it is much smaller.
What type of TouchSmart do you have? S-series can be updated and can extend memory up 8 gigabytes (GB).
