Hi,

To add GIS files in the Map Window,

– Click the Add/Remove/Clear Layers tool

– Open the folder in which you want to add the file(s).

–  While pressing the CTRL key, click the files as shown below

–  Click open

You should now see the added files in the Data layers area

Move the layers up or down to make them visible.

Hello,

To add a file in the GIS map window, you need to follow the steps below:

First, go to the toolbar menu, here there is a symbol (+), click on that option, then click "add layer", then click upload, and now browse your files, then select the file you want and save. Your file will be added to your system. This screen shot shows all of the functions of the toolbar menu, as well has how to get to the total user interface. http://www.mapwindow.org/apps/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=quick_guide_to_mapwindow_gis.pdf

Thanks.
