Have anyone been in this situation please help. Today when I restarted my computer and tried to open inventor which I am using for few months now. The strangest thing happened to me and it gives me the activation error and fails to start. I even tried to access my files through the vault but the same error persists.
One thing that struck to my mind was to clear or edit the registry for this application. So, I jumped into the regedit but there is no registry value entry on local computer registry for this application. Please help me with some valid solution. Here is the screen shot of the error:

You did not explain if you are using the registered version of the software or only the demo one. Because the activation error you are talking about here only appears in demo version of any applications. This happens because the duration of the trial version has already exhausted and to be able to use it again you need to buy a license key or a registration code and this involves a certain amount of fee. If you are using the registered version, try uninstalling the application and then install it back to fix any corrupted files in the installation and to restore its settings back to default including some that you might have customized.
You may also check your computer for any possible errors. Any errors in the hard drive’s file system can cause different problems to applications.
