Hi

The problem looks like that the OS you are using on the machine I mean to say on Acronis. That OS has some problem you need to check it out from the some experienced person about this and ask him if that person can upgrade that OS or not.

If after doing this it still comes then there is a problem in getting error in the machine so try to check out this and go to the support of this machine from the company and ask them to confirm is there any hardware problem in this or not. If yes then ask them to replace that hardware and hope your machine will fine but before this make it sure that the OS of the machine is working properly and if this so then check out the hardware from the support of the company.

This solution will get out of the trouble you are facing.

Hello Ashley,

The error message you are seeing is because of a feature available with version 7 VMs in VMware. This feature CBT,  Change Block Tracking, helps in performing incremental backups. Vmware Data recovery uses this feature by identifying changed blocks on a running VM.

If version for affected VM is 4, then you should disable CBT

To disable CBT:

  • Power off the virtual machine.
  • Right-click the virtual machine and click Edit Settings.
  • Click the Options tab.
  • Click General under the Advanced section and then click Configuration Parameters.
  • Set the ctkEnabled parameter to false for the corresponding SCSI disk.

Thanks

If this is the first you encounter this problem, try restarting the computer then try again. If it still fails, try uninstalling the program then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton SystemWorks, or PC Tools Performance Toolkit. Install the program again after the check and see if it works.

You should also check the settings of the application. Verify that it is configured properly. You may also try checking your machine for possible virus infection.

Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your computer.
