Hello,

I have received the following error message when attempting to deactivate/activate or remove a user account from the Dashboard. I also experience a problem where the account unexpectedly disappears from the Dashboard list of users. The account is still listed in Active Directory and still a valid account but it is not displayed in the dashboard. Any suggestion would be really helpful. Thanks.

Error Message: An unknown error prevented the wizard from retrieving the user account information. If this problem persists, restart the server, and then try again.

You might be getting this error because of the following scenario.

You try to migrate some user accounts from an earlier version of Windows Small Business Server to newer Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials.

Or you try to disable or delete one of the user accounts in Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials.

In this case please take the update Rollup 1 for Windows Small Business Server 2011.
