I just migrated to Windows 8 from Windows 7 on my ASUS PC. My problem is when starting the Wi-Fi Go, I am facing an error from AI Suite 3. I searched for the exact error I've got on the web but I found nothing useful. Can someone please help me with this?

The error is:

Aisuite3

Access violation at address 0042D234 in module 'AISuite3.exe'. Read of address 00000018.

Since you are already having some problems with your AI Suite III, try following this method which might fix your problem.

  • Go to AXSP folder inside the AI Suite directory. Find “axIns.exe”, right-click on it and select Properties.
  • In General tab, click Unblock.
  • Go to Compatibility tab and click “Change settings for all users”.
  • Check “Run this program as an administrator” and click OK.
  • After that, go to HMService folder. Find “aaHMIns.exe”, right-click on the file and select Properties.
  • In General tab, click Unblock.
  • Go to Compatibility tab and select “Change settings for all users”.
  • Check “Run this program as an administrator” and click OK.
  • Next, run “AsusSetup.exe” with administrative privileges. You can follow the steps above to run it as administrator. Right-click on the file “AsusSetup.exe” and select Properties. Click Unblock in General tab, select Compatibility tab and choose “Change settings for all users”. Check “Run this program as an administrator” and click OK. Now run the program to begin the setup.
  • Open Windows Task Manager, select Processes tab, select “axIns.exe”, and then click End Process. Click Yes to confirm. Continue with the setup once this is done.
