I was told that someone can be able to access a hidden folder from C:Program FilesApplications. Unfortunately I am admin on OS as well but I cannot access the folder.

I have attached pictures of the error messages that I get.

Thanks for helping!

I have just saw your problem, and I have a great solution for it. I am now describing you two steps how to activate the Administrator Account in Windows Vista.

Solution 1:
  • Firstly, go to your Start menu and then right-click on the My Computer icon.
  • Selecting manage from the list will prompt a User Account Control (UAC).
  • After you are done, the Computer Management console will appear. Expand the Local Users and Groups option with the use of the arrow next to it and the select Users folder.
  • You can now choose the Administrator Account and go to the Actions panel to open More Actions.
  • Select Properties to open the Administrator Properties dialog box and uncheck the option labeled Account is Disabled.
  • After done, click OK to confirm changes.
  • The Administrator account should now be present on your log in screen.

Solution 2:
  • Just go to start menu and in Accessories list, open Command Prompt by right-clicking on its icon and choosing Run as Administrator
  • After the Command Prompt window appears, enter the command net user administrator /active:yes
  • After done, log out from your current account.
  • The Administrator account is now appearing on your log in screen.
