Hello experts.

I use DVD Decrypter to write my ISO document from DVDshrink (http://www.dvdshrink.org/), but I am receiving the following error message:

DVD Decrypter

DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed!
Device: [1:1:0] TEAC DVD+RW DV-W58E D.0C (E:) (ATA)
Unable to lock volume for exclusive access.
Reason: Access is denied.

Does anybody have any idea what this error means? I need to solve this error. I hope this screenshot helps in debugging the problem.

Need your help.

Thanks a lot.

I think what is meant by “unable to lock volume for exclusive access” is that the disc image or the .ISO file you are trying to burn on the DVD disc is currently opened somewhere in your system or the .ISO disc image is currently opened in one of your applications.

DVD Decrypter can not burn the image if there is another application that has access to it. Check your desktop if the disc image is still opened in one of your applications or just close all other unnecessary applications while DVD Decrypter is running. DVD Decrypter needs full access to the file so the burn can push through.

If you still can’t burn the image on the DVD disc, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the application to fix any corrupted files and restore its configurations back to default including some settings that you might have customized. And then try again.
