What is Real Player and Real Jukebox?

I want to download the software for distribution.

Is that possible and legal?

I want to download the said software from the website of Real Network.

How will I make changes for client’s software before I distribute it?

Can you give your suggestions please?

These programs are used to play digital video, RealPlayer, and digital music, RealJukebox.

According to their website, there are free versions for both software but these are supported by ads.

If you'd like to remove the ads, you'll need to pay a registration fee to have the ads removed and be able to get to use the full functionality of the software.

You can get the software and just download the installers from there.

Given these are free software, you should be able to distribute them without fear of getting jailed.

Otherwise if these are software with paid license, you'll have to get a license for each copy.

Hi Aubree,

Real Player is a program that can play different formats of multimedia such as MP3, MPEG-4, Quicktime, Windows Media and different kinds of video formats too such as Real audio and Real Video. It is also said to be the first media player which is capable of playing streaming Media found in the internet.

Where in Real Jukebox is computer application which was produced by Real networks.  it enabled the users to manage their digital music. Real Jukebox has two kinds, the basics and the Plus.

The Jukebox Basics has the capability of ripping the music. But then it's capability to play MP3 to 96kbits was very limited.

Aside from these Real Jukebox has the capability of determining whether the music or the videos you played on the program was pirated.

Downloading those program from Real Network website is also possible.

Hope this might help you.

Thanks

No, you cannot modify those software. The applications RealPlayer and RealJukebox are all developed and released by RealNetworks, a software company based in Seattle, Washington, United States. RealNetworks provide internet streaming media delivery software and services as well as subscription-based online entertainment services and mobile entertainment and messaging services. These applications are probably freeware but you cannot modify them and make them your own.

Copyrights are owned by the software developer. If you want to try RealPlayer, go to the RealPlayer Home page and download the latest. The latest version at the moment, RealPlayer 18, supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10.

It requires Intel Core i3 or faster processor, 4 GB RAM, and 1.5 GB free space. Supported browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer 9, and Microsoft Edge. For RealJukebox, go to RealJukebox on OldVersion.com or Old Versions of RealJukebox and download the latest and last version, RealJukebox 2.0.

For a bit of history, RealJukebox was released by RealNetworks which allowed users to organize their digital music. It was first released in May 1999 and by late 2001 the functionality of the program was integrated into RealPlayer, RealNetworks’ core media player application. This integration killed RealJukebox.
