Hello everyone, I am trying to use my Abit nf7-s but it tells me that it has an eightX agp.
What is the problem here?
I have tried viewing the eightX agp cards and noticed they have two notches but my agp has only one notch.
How do I rectify this problem?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Aadero,
Some cards do have the extra notch.
There are 2 notches instead of one on some 8x cards and some have one notch only (example: MSI 865PE Neo2-V), but if they fit in your card slot, they should both work fine whether have one notch or two notch.
-
Try to check whether the card is installed properly and if the connection is ok.
-
Also check whether your AGP is compatible with abit nf7 (if you have the model number it will be easy to check)
-
You can update the driver of Abit nf7.

Use this link and verify that your looking at AGP not Pci Express.. (Some stores mislabel Pci Express as AGP or as AGP 8x performance): Monarchcomputer com Merchant2
