Hi,

As you planning to set-up a Wi-Fi connection in home you can go for small GHz in number as GHz are used for used for signals capturing. When coming to 5ghz it offers only few advantages over 2.4ghz when consider the performance of both in practical both have almost similar kind of advantages and 5Ghz has upper hand as the GHz range is bit high but for home network.

I suggest the best is 2.4ghz because 5Ghz carry more number of data at once when compared to 2.4ghz. As you are setting up in home and you don't need much data to carry at once its good to go for 2.4ghz.

When setting up Wi-Fi networking and you are confused what type of router you are using, either 5Ghz or 2.4 GHz then continue reading this article.

5 Ghz Wi-Fi router – This carries more data when doing transfer or sending bigger files. But this type of router is more broader and a little less crowded. Most wireless connection, see for example in free hotspot, home networking and uses 2.4 GHz bandwidth type of router. This a narrower and more populated than other.

This is more compatible with any devices, Bluetooth, phone lines, remote controlled toys but known to be emit easily by electromagnetic radiation. This further interrupt Internet connection constantly thru crowing airwaves.
