I just installed the 3D Home Designer Deluxe software for creating and designing floor plans in 3D.  The program just crashes when launched.  What could be the problem?  Is this a compatibility issue?  My desktop has a 2 GB RAM, 1 GB Video Card and is on Windows Vista 64 bit.  Thanks.

Hi Dorethadhoward,

Software that has in depth graphics can often crash when not compatible with the Video card or there is a software or a windows component that is conflicting with it. The best way to isolate this is to try to open the program in safe mode so we can check if it’s the video card or a software that is causing the problem. If it crashes in safe mode then it’s the video card check whether there is an available update for the driver. If not, then we have to isolate even further make a clean start with the computer meaning disable the startup program. You can also try to reinstall Microsoft .net on the computer and then reinstall plus register the MSXML 4.0 in the computer.

Hi! I don't think that the compatibility issue is the problem of your software because before the installation will proceed if there is a compatibility issue or system requires that your computer doesn't have it will tell you by displaying a pop-up window telling this problem but in your case you installed this software to your computer but it crash every time you launch. I think that you did not install this software effectively. To solve your problem, you need to un-install and install again this software. Make sure to install it correctly without having any problem. It is better to download and install the latest version (if it has).
